Kentucky is the birthplace of Bourbon, with a rich tradition and history that dates back more than 200 years. It’s also one of Kentucky’s signature industries, pouring hundreds of millions of dollars into the Bluegrass economy.
In October 2014, the Kentucky Distillers’ Association released the third study highlighting Bourbon’s significant economic and tourism impact in the Commonwealth. This the most comprehensive analysis ever conducted on the economic and fiscal impact of Bourbon and distilled spirits in Kentucky.
