Brand Profiles
Each individual brand has distinctive characteristics of age, proof and of course, taste. Some bourbons offer distinct corn or wheat flavors, others are slightly vanilla-flavored. Other bourbons, if extra-aged, may taste stronger - or crisper.

BLANTON'S
Blanton's is known as Kentucky's "single barrel bourbon." It earns this distinction because each bottle comes from a single barrel and is never blended with whiskeys of other ages. Thus, the age of Blanton's whiskey varies from bottle to bottle depending on the master distiller's decision that a particular barrel is ready for bottling. No age is printed on the label since individual barrels reach peak maturity at different times.

Blanton's carries an incredibly rich flavor with a balance between sweetness and alcohol. Its regal packaging further complements the extraordinary character of this bourbon.

WILD TURKEY
Named after a bird of handsome plumage and great dignity, Wild Turkey achieved its name only some fifty years ago. Thomas McCarthy, Sr., then head of Austin Nichols Company, a grocery company founded in 1855, joined a group of businessmen each year for a turkey shoot; McCarthy brought along his own special bourbon to the event. This tradition resulted in the preservation of wildlife, since shots of bourbon were usually the only ones taken. Hence, Wild Turkey was named.

Bourbon has been distilled, bottled and aged on Wild Turkey Hill for generations before it took on the name of the bird. Today, the distillery continues to produce this eight-year-old, 101-proof bourbon.

KENTUCKY GENTLEMAN
The romance and legend of American history is preserved in a town called Bardstown, Kentucky. Bardstown is the home of My Old Kentucky Home, immortalized in Stephen Foster?s ballad of the same name, and America's oldest stagecoach stop, Old Talbott Tavern.

Bardstown is also the home of Barton's Distillery which produces Kentucky Gentleman Bourbon Whiskey. Kentucky Gentleman is a uniquely American spirit, possessing the character and smooth flavor of true bourbon whiskey. Ranked among the top 20 Kentucky bourbon whiskeys in the United States, Kentucky Gentleman enjoys a loyal following in the South -- particularly Florida, Alabama and Virginia.

VERY OLD BARTON
In the same community where My Old Kentucky Home stands, Barton's Distillery also produces Very Old Barton. This unique bourbon shares the same heritage woven into this area since the 1800's when blacksmithing, weaving, spinning and distilling were ways of life.

Very Old Barton ranks among the leading bourbons in sales in the major bourbon-consuming states of Kentucky and Tennessee. An aged-quality bourbon with great taste and tradition, Very Old Barton has always had a loyal following among bourbon connoisseurs.

WOODFORD RESERVE
Woodford Reserve is made from hand-selected barrels by Labrot & Graham's Master Taster. Labrot & Graham is located in Versailles, Kentucky, in a scenic area known for its bluegrass and thoroughbred horses. Woodford Reserve has a bright red amber color, a nose of vanilla, caramel, moderate fruit and oak flavor. Body is full, complex, sweet and woody and has a balanced, long and sweet finish.

FOUR ROSES
In many countries Four Roses is synonymous with high quality bourbon. It is appreciated for its unusual heritage, and the unusual legends behind it.

One such legend explains that when its founder was a young man about to go off to the Civil War, he proposed marriage to the only woman he ever loved. Being a shy girl and at a romantic age, she promised that if she wore four roses in her hair at the next ball, the answer would be yes.

Many years later, in 1888, people got their first taste of this great Kentucky spirit -- rich, soft, sweet, smooth and always mellow. Four Roses' distinctive taste is created by Kentucky's famous limestone waters, fermentation in century-old cypress tubs and aging in charred, white oak barrels. For more than 100 years, the emphasis has been on production of quality, not quantity, bourbon -- not the most bourbon, but the best.

EVAN WILLIAMS
Evan Williams is recognized as Kentucky's first bourbon. One of the early settlers, Evan Williams, was a Virginian who came to Kentucky around 1781. Landing at the Falls of the Ohio River, Williams founded Kentucky's first commercial distillery on Main Street in Louisville. Under the watchful eyes of Heaven Hill distillers, Evan Williams is still produced with the same recipe used 200 years ago.

The distiller attributes the unique taste of Evan Williams to the time-honored tradition of producing the highest quality bourbon possible since 1783. The product results from the skills of master craftsmen using original formulas and experience.

ELIJAH CRAIG
Elijah Craig is a small batch bourbon named after the Reverend Elijah Craig who is credited with being the Father of Bourbon after discovering that aging in charred barrels enhanced the flavor of his whiskey. Elijah Craig is a 12 year old, 94 proof bourbon. Aged to perfection, this bourbon carries a sweet balance of flavors with fruity undertones. Perfect to drink neat (straight).

JIM BEAM
In 1788, Jacob Beam was one of the farmers who followed Daniel Boone's trail west through an area know as Cumberland Gap, bringing his family into the Kentucky District from Virginia. This is where Beam's distillery was founded in 1795. Jacob's grandson, James Beam, became part of the business in 1880, giving his name to one of the most famous bourbons in the world.

Today, the Jim Beam Distillery is located in Clermont, Kentucky, and produces four million cases of bourbon a year. The distillery also showcases a still, reputed to be more than 200 years old.

MAKER'S MARK
Maker's Mark has been described by critics around the world as a smooth, luxuriant bourbon. This brand achieves its clean and pleasant flavor by substituting mild winter wheat for the rye commonly used as a flavor grain in bourbon. This distillery holds true to the time-honored, slow way of crafting fine whiskey in small quantities, making only 38 barrels a day. Each step in the process, from selecting the grains to rotating the oak barrels, is carefully watched.

As far back as seven generations, the Samuels family has been distilling bourbon. Maker's Mark Distillery in Loretto, Kentucky, is the only operating distillery in America that is a National Historic Landmark. Many restored buildings, including an 1889 home that is now a visitor's center and a tollhouse, are part of the distillery.

BUFFALO TRACE KENTUCKY STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY
Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is the namesake whiskey of the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Franklin County, Kentucky. Made in celebration of the area's rich ancestral heritage, the bourbon embodies the bold and rugged soul of early America.

Rich, mature and complex, Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey offers subtle notes of vanilla, mint, toffee, and light molasses, complemented by undertones of teaberry, anise and dark candied fruit. Its corn sweetness is balanced by the dryness of oak that comes with its expertly timed barrel aging. And its smooth, confident taste invites discovery with every sip.

W.L. WELLER
In 1849, at a time when other distillers were producing "rye" bourbons, William LaRue Weller bottled his proprietary blend of corn, malted barley and wheat. The result was a smoother sipping whiskey that offered a unique richness to bourbon's traditional taste.

Today, W.L. Weller Special Reserve Straight Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey is still handcrafted according to the original Weller wheated recipe by Buffalo Trace Distillery in Franklin County, Kentucky. W.L. Weller Special Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey has aromas of honey, figs and dates, and perfumed oaky vanillas. Its taste is delicate, yet buttery rich with overtones of liquorice and toffee and a long sweet finish.
